In actual news (unless it turns out to be fake) It sounds like the Chairman of Disney either resigned or was fired, and Kevin Feige is being eyed as a replacement. While having a Marvel guy higher up in the company is probably a good thing, I can't help but worry about who they'll get to replace him as the coordinated for Marvel's film projects.
I'd vote for Jon Favreau but I have a feeling that whatever got him kicked off Iron Man 3 would come into play here again.
I don't think Favreau is on bad terms with the company. He's constantly tweeting about Iron Man and the Avengers, and he's working on a pretty high profile Disney project. Could be that he didn't want to be locked into only doing Iron Man/Avengers stuff for ten years

I mean if we are going to argue what is the single "most Christmas film" than A Christmas Story will win as it hits basically every trope of the holiday.
lets be clear: Die Hard is a movie set at Christmas, but it is not about Christmas
as great a movie as it is, it is not a Christmas movie
It takes place on Christmas, during a Christmas party and features Christmas music.
At a base level it is a Christmas film.
So, what constitutes a Christmas film?
Christmas movies are about the spirit of giving and togetherness and the magic of being with those you care about during the holidays and all that jazz
Elf, Bad Santa, Christmas Story, Christmas Vacation, Home Alone; these are Christmas movies
Die Hard is about a down on his luck everyman cop thwarting a terrorist plot. The Christmas setting is really there just to make his life seem that much bleaker, but it could have been set at any other time of the year and it would be basically the same movie. The concept of Christmas is almost entirely ancillary to the core of the movie
but if your metric for Christmas movie is that "it takes place during the latter half of December" then yeah, Die Hard is a great Christmas movie
but this is a dumb argument anyway, so I'm gonna stop
Home Alone is such a great movie. Among many other things, I love that it somehow manages to get people to laugh at Kevin’s discovery that he wished his entire family out of existence

Yeah, and McClain is willing to sacrifice everything for his family. Risk everything to save his wife who is trying to divorce him. His story is about him wanting to get back with his kids and protect his family.
Just because it doesn't slap you over the dick with an extremely obtuse message doesn't mean that it doesn't have those themes in it.
Humor can be dissected as a frog can, but dies in the process.
Warner Bros. has just confirmed that the new trailer for Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight Rises will in fact be attached to Marvel's future blockbuster, The Avengers.
HAHAHAHAHAHA

I'm seriously considered avoiding this and similar threads and webpages starting on the 25th, just to avoid accidentally clicking on spoilers. I have no idea what I'm going to do with the extra free time I'll have.

This year was my first year watching the first two while decorating the tree. The tradition starts.
