NOM is a terrible acronym because it makes me think of NOM NOM NOM

Which thanks to you, always makes me think of vaginas with teeth.

    my work here is done

Well when Gozer asks us to choose the form of our destroyer, I hope you appreciate the irony.

Jesus, every job on the generic recruiting sites seems to be in sales (most relying on commission). I would be terrible at sales. Simply terrible.

When employers ask me if there's anything I wouldn't do, my answer is sales.

I will do whatever the hell else they want, but sales? No. Hell no.

    That might work, an guess....

Found some generic admin stuff on one of the other sites. I just need to make my CV less academicy and try and remember the previous shite jobs I've done. This sucks.

It's not so bad if you're selling something that doesn't suck. :U

OK, it still sucks that you're the complaint sponge and the rest of the company will treat you like you're either the rainmaker or the moron who doesn't understand their artistic/technical integrity.

If I genuinely believe in something I'm a great person to put in front of a potential customer, but to me a salesperson is basically a predator trying to eat my money and I don't like preying on people anymore than I like my wallet getting drool and tooth marks on it.

I hate people trying to sell me anything.

I like it when there are people with answers if I have questions, but if they start trying to sell me something I immediately assume they're trying to screw me over.

That is what I'm trying to avoid. I never try to sell something that our customer would not need. I will point out to them that we can provide additional stuff that he might be interested in. Then again, my business is focused on business-to-business and we actually provide services companies need. I could never work at a Gamestop or something trying to convince moms to buy additional bullshit for their spawn.

There is something about a chocolate biscuit and orange diluting juice that is fucking delicious.

Also today I discovered after a botched platlet donation they don't allow you to donate normal blood for a year. Seven months to go...

Why are we comparing atomic blasts to video games/consoles?

    Steam
So we get stiff once in a while. So we have a little fun. What’s wrong with that? This is a free country, isn’t it? I can take my panda any place I want to. And if I wanna buy it a drink, that’s my business.

Urgh, I really need my own place.

The problem is I exactly can't get one right now, but I'm plus-minus a few months from probably moving out from parent's place at the end of my Ph D.

But this is a thing where, when I take breaks on it I usually do it by trying to fix something which is bothering me. But lately everyone has decided to freak the fuck out about things like that, so it has become unpleasant to do. And this is annoying as hell because it's like, how much effort does one put into maintaining a thing they may be discarding soon?
