He did indeed
stab Masuka in the neck. I'm hoping that wasn't an actual massive spoiler dropped casually into a trailer, and it's a fantasy or a blood splatter analysis setup thing.
This trailer looks fantastic, really like this direction.
Edit: Season Six isn't nearly as terrible as persons said it was.
It's a little more 'out there' than previous seasons, and I feel they could have really ended it on Season 5. But you'll appreciate it by the last episode, and especially the last spoken line of the last episode.
I actually really liked season 5, as it felt like a nice change of pace. But then they had the copout moment at the end there that pissed me off. And of course season 6 with the most obvious goddamn twist ever was pretty frustrating.
But this season looks, dare I say it, like something to break the monotony.
I will probably wait until its over to watch it all at once. Mainly because it looks like itll be a lot like
season2
only more awesome. And I know most people who watched that one live didnt like it much. But folks that watched it in one go on netflix say its the best.

Yeah 4 was really good too. Its obviously preference. The thing with
2
is that there is a heavy divide about it. People who watched it live dont like it and people who watched it in bunches did. If this new one is anything like it, I would rather be part of the latter group.
Season 6 was really awesome... until the mid-way point.
ITK callbacks and Brother Sam were really great. Then they just took a sharp left into territory probably best covered by a real cop show, or 24 or whatever. Didn't feel like Dexter, and the contortions they went through to make sure Dex didn't get caught were even more ridiculous than season 2. It was just bad writing.

I am the "Season 2 is the best" boat. I think I started watching Dexter somewhere at the beginning of Season 2, so I caught up about half way through Season 2. It was kind of "eh" in the beginning but Episodes 8-11(I think those are the numbers) of that season are by far my favorite episodes of the entire series.
Season 7 looks to remind us that Dexter is a bad guy, which is why I liked season 2 so much I think, so I am hyped.
Can someone spoil that trailer for us youtube-blocked sad people?
Opens with the ending scene from last season, Deb freaking out, and getting out here phone. Dexter convinces her not to call the cops, and I guess she agrees to hide the body/burn the church/etc. The rest is a bunch of very short clips all showing an apparent lust for killing Dexter hasn't had in a while, including him maybe stabbing/slashing someone in the interrogation room, sticking a needle in Masuka's neck, injecting something into meat (which the trailer seems to be trying to convince us is Deb's) and a lot of other stuff. It looks like Deb is willing to hide this perceived "one time" kill from the end of S6 but is quickly losing it and realizing there's much more to this. There were scenes of people finding his blood slide at the crime scene as well and talk of the BHB once again.

I suspect
Masuka has been killed by Lewis the intern and what we're seeing is just Dexter pulling the knife out some time afterwards
But we all know Dexter trailers are full of lies. So instead of what happens in the trailer, we'll find out that Deb was actually the Bay Harbor Butcher all along.
Quinn's character becomes damned goofy. The scene in the bar when he's hitting on the collge professor is mostly absurd.
Seems like his character changes significantly from 5 to 6.
Wouldn't surprise me if they were thinking about killing him off in season 5, but decided not to go that direction just yet. I mean, season 5 was basically just him being all dokes on Dexter, and the usual conclusion to that is him being dead as dead. Once the figured out that Deb would be the one that would find out in 6, they had to do something with the character to give him an excuse to exist.
That trailer looks great. Now the writers just need to keep Dexter from doing amazingly stupid things like they've had him doing for the past 2 or so seasons.
No, I am not really communist. Yes, it is weird that I use this name.
Doesn't dexter daydream about murdering people alley mcbeal style(eg his sister shooting him in the face when he confesses)? I assume if we see him do something like that in the trailer, its a daydream of him going nuts on others. (haven't seen the trailer yet)

Looks like he isn't killing while trying to convince deb he only did it one time and the lack of release is making him fantasize about kills. Obviously that isn't going to last.

you are correct
This is perhaps the most epic spoiler.
Season 7 looks to remind us that Dexter is a bad guy, which is why I liked season 2 so much I think, so I am hyped.
So, I have 24 hours to watch disks 2, 3, and 4.
This shall be a good day.
I suspect
*Queue montage of scenes where characters never actually see or speak to Dexter but Deb is always present*
*Complete with Debra/Doakes fight scene*
That's...ok, I guess that's a thing to do.
Mother fucker!
Surprise!
Seems like his character changes significantly from 5 to 6.
ENVER. I've been looking out for him. He was fantastic in Dollhouse. Glad he's found some work in such a high-profile show.
