I think it would be funny if once, Batman followed the Riddlers clues, catches him, and when Batman tells him how he solved it, the Riddler is utterly confused, because that wasn't the riddles he set up and Batman just had a case of apophenia that miraculously lead him to the right place.
There's a theory I saw somewhere that everything he says after he cuts his tongue is unintelligible, since Hurt is the only person who seems to understand him afterwards.
I dunno if you could talk intelligently if you self-administered it with a razorblade and started talking with the blood pouring out of your face though.

Morrison's double-mangled undead Sweeney Todd version of the Joker is one of the best worst things to happen in RIP. It's basically the Joker of Zur-En-Arrh, but it's such an over the top, garish arthouse version of the Joker, it ties into the weird, eurotrash milieu of The Black Glove. It's bad but it's good, but also bad again.
Yale Stewart of JL8 webcomic is getting to draw a two page Nova story in Nova #10. It's awesome cause they guy is really talented and it's cool seeing things picking up for him.

Who was the guy who did the lettering on Sandman ? Todd Klein ?
His stuff was amazing at times - so good that it was the first time I actually appreciated lettering as real skill.
Do a google image search for "todd klein sandman" and there's a load of examples.
