If you look at their early work you will absolutely find a good amount of it cribbed (intentionally and unintentionally) from people before them. Very, very few people arrive as this totally original genius.
Being inspired by and stealing from are two entirely separate things.

There is straight up plagiarism, which is taking shit verbatim, but there are subtler forms of theft. You can steal cadence, voice, structure, pretty much anything else. You can also steal content and rearrange it. All of that stuff is a degree of thievery.
