    Arch you may find this amusing

    I am making a solution, the recipe for which calls for 200 grams of sucrose

    In like a liter of fluid

    I made it today and dropped a stir bar in and the stir bar got stuck because it can't move that much sugar

    So I shook it to get it going!
    When I went back it was stuck again

    So I have heard not a peep from this job that was supposed to finalize their hiring on Friday of last week. It's been like 6 or 7 weeks of stringing me along and now, when it's supposed to be locked down finally, 2 days of silence.

    :(

    On the upside, I have a phone interview set for 10:30 on Thursday with another company. So! I guess we shall see what transpires.

    The amount of sucrose you can dissolve in water is fucking insane though

    Also originally I had a shitton of sucrose and some of the stuff that makes antifreeze sweet and I thought "I bet this tastes really good"

    I did not taste it though because poison

    So I know a few of you will get this more than others.

    @simonwolf‌ @Cokebotle‌ @Inquisitor‌

    I have been reading through Bad Machinery and at this point I have started identifying my old students in the comic.

    Like the kids in the comic I can basically identify.

    Many in one specific school which was kind of my favorite school.

    Like Monkey girl(nickname for one of my first years) is Charlotte. Mildred reminds me of a 2nd year called Ai. Shauna is this girl who was super cool but was tiny but had her adult voice already(puberty man).

    The boys are a bit harder. Mostly because I worked with kids more like Colm than the main guys.

    Still I read it and I just picture my students doing this shit and saying such tings and I just smile.

    Good memories.

    Difficult life choices. In a month I go to burning man.

    I am currently taking lexapro, an SSRI.

    I like MDMA. There will be very quality MDMA at the camp.

    If I start now, I can fairly safely pretty much detox in that time.

    So I could maybe roll a couple times. Once well. While listening to amazing music(mother fucking Juno fucking Reactor), in a fantastic setting, with good people. Which is kinda a potentially significant memory I could have.

    Otherwise, I really can't smoke much, so I am pretty much limited to shrooms and acid(which tolerance build up super quick to), other random more obscure psychedelics, a very small amount of yay and amphetamine (neither of which I'm a fan of anyway), and I guess booze. I mean maybe some k or mescaline might show up, and I have my heart set on some unlikey opium(but that's more of a morning after recovery thing anyway).

    Which really isn't that much spread out over a week. And I like rolling, a lot. On lexapro I can't, and trying could be fatal.

    But detoxing lexapro is not fun. And I am kinda on it for reasons.

    They moistly come out at night, moistly.

    It's my wife's birthday, and my 5 year anniversary tomorrow, or the day after.

    Thomamelas‌

    Fix this please

    @Mortious‌

    Okay, first...figure out which day is your anniversary. And her birthday. So emergency stuff here is well emergency.

    -Flowers. If you know her favorites then stop at a florist and get a bouquet of those. If not, you need something clever. Larkspur is the birth flower for July. They come in pink and purple. Then get a dozen roses for the anniversary. Present both.
    -Gift. Knowing your budget here helps. Knowing her tastes help more. But in a pinch, booking a B&B or Spa weekend pretty much always works and generally gives you more time. If your budget runs smaller, Build-A-Bear Workshop if there is one near by. Pick out an outfit for it. Come up with a reason. Seem super thoughtful.
    -Dinner. Somewhere nice. Get reservations. You likely won't need them in July unless it's a seriously nice place but it makes you look more thoughtful. Add mystery by telling her to dress appropriately but don't tell her where.
    -Consult with me at least a week in advance and I can do a lot better.

    not worth it.
