    The whole weird American stereotypes with the French specifically have to do with lots of uncharitable views following WWII.

    It's also worth noting that we're England's bastard child so we kept a lot of anti-french sentiment.

    So I rewatched Steven's Birthday while catching up Sheri, and despite his party being at the barn, I don't actually think Connie has met Peridot yet? It's the only episode since Catch and Release where Peridot doesn't even make an appearance.

    Peri appears in that episode, but yeah they haven't met/interacted onscreen yet.

    Fayetteville in North Carolina.

    South Carolina also has a ton of stuff named after him - streets, parks, bridges, etc. in practically every town in that state.
