Mostly. It's possible I had it for a long-ass time. Same with mother. So a lot of the damage is likely permanent.
Fun it was not. The "second round" of antibiotic treatments my mother had to go through was likened to a mild form of chemotherapy, except she had to do it every day for nearly a year. The only thing neither of us ever did was intravenous, 'cuz that shit is brutal.

There is a lot of contention in the medical community over whether chronic lyme disease even exists. I don't have enough knowledge of the pathogenesis to even make an educated decision. The hope is that diagnostics will get good enough to detect the long-term disease and eventually develop a vaccine.

Sometimes I stand up suddenly and feel really dizzy like I'm about to fall down. Sometimes I have to hold onto the table. Sometimes I just fall to my knees for a few seconds.
It doesn't happen very often.
