OK, has anyone here ever given a ride to a complete stranger before? I did this for someone tonight whose car broke down on them and it was kind of scary. I don't have any clue why I did it. I eventually left the man with $13 at a bus stop because he only had american express to pay his towing bill and I only had $13. So he was going to take the bus to another bus to a mall closer to his place and then try to get a ride up there. Apparently he is from a wealthy part of town and offered to give me $100 tomorrow at the Wawa I met him at for the pain of driving him all around. I am thinking of just not picking up my phone when he calls.

That was my first thought too. He sounds exactly like a cousin of mine in the Marines. One year at Christmas he angrily insisted that Al-Jazeera should be more conservative and not more liberal because in his mind conservative=good and liberal=bad regardless of what those words actually mean. What was scary about it? I'll usually give someone a ride if I see them walking in extra shitty weather (in my parent's suburban neighborhood, not my area) or if somebody looks to genuinely need a hand.
