Wow, that cover actually is very much what I imagine a live action Megaman would look - very sentai-ish.
It's a very good representation of Megaman in live action.
Considering the horrible covers from both US and UK, I was surprised seeing EU get such a great cover.
Don't know if anyone has posted this already but the MGS stuff is usually done by a guy called Ashley Wood. He has done a lot of good stuff in his time. My avatar is by him and is the EP artwork for a great band called Reuben.
Oy, someone do this old man a favor and post the cover art to Forbidden. You know the one with the half naked tattooed woman, that caused so much controversy in the dark ages.
I'm not sure if the right one was used in Europe only or just changed before the game was released in the US. Some Canadian purchasers said they have the right one. I've personally have yet to encounter it.

Um, most of the MGS stuff is done by Yoji Shinkawa.

The cover is what really drew me to purchasing the game in the first place- though that little demo that came with Riven may have been a factor.
It's a shame to see it cluttered up with logos and indents, I (probably incorrectly) remember my boxed copy being a little clearer!
Spoiler for size:
The mid-warp jumpsuit would eventually become the icon used when the trilogy got packaged together.

I don't have either, exactly; mine looks like the one on the right, but has a blurb at the bottom boasting that it comes from the creator of Mario and Zelda. I assume that's something that was changed, along with the rating, of course.
It should also be noted that I acquired mine as part of a two-pack from Zeller's which included Donkey Konga 2, which I already had. :P
Never seen the left one before.

I had no idea RA3 had an alternate cover.
Mega Man Zero 2
Mega Man X7
...and plenty of others follow that pattern.
MegaMan Legends
Misadventures of Tron Bonne
MegaMan Legends 2
Mega Man Powered Up (just like the game it's a remake of, Europe beats the US for a change)
And to wrap up, something a little different: Super Mario Bros.
Most of the early first-party NES games seemed to follow this kind of pattern, with the Japan and Europe versions being similar.

It's a reversible cover, actually. Quite the surprise when I first discovered it.

Fuck yes.
I think that'd be a lot better if they didn't all have a look on their faces.
Also, is that chocobo above the title about to get speared in the face?

Word. That's a great cover. LucasArts has had some great ones.
Hehe, you had been warned. A lot of the stuff is nothing like that i.e. the MGS covers, it is worth taking a look just brace yourself for the banner.
Well, they are going to war, and

Thou dare question the power of the mighty Mjolnir, which may only be wielded by those deemed worthy of its strength?
