Tom Zarek (DevoutlyApathetic) must choose:
A) Skill Check [9] Tactics + Piloting
Pass: +1 Food.
Fail: -1 Fuel and destroy 1 Raptor. OR -1 Food.
The fleet continues to lose its food supplies, and with the fleet under siege, the President declines diverting resources to scouting to try and reduce the Cylon threat.
After Crisis: Activate Raiders, Advance Jump Preparation
Fore (3 o'clock) Raider:
Raider advances clockwise to port-quarter (5 o'clock).
Port-bow (7 o'clock) Radiers:
All eight Raiders converge on the port-quarter (5 o'clock).
Jump Preparation advances to Level 2 - Jump is still unavailable. Turn 31: Admiral William Adama (Rend)
Receive Skills Step: Rend draws 3 Leadership and 2 Tactics cards. (The Leadership deck is shuffled after the first draw.)
Characters: Admiral William Adama (Rend) - Command, 8 cards in hand. Lee "Apollo" Adama (Darian) - Cylon Fleet, 4 cards in hand.
Kara "Starbuck" Thrace (abotkin) - Armory, 8 cards in hand.
Gaius Baltar (Maddoc) - President's Office, 10 cards in hand. President Tom Zarek (DevoutlyApathetic) - Weapons Control, 5 cards in hand.
Here's the plan. I will XO you to run to communications, and run the ship away from the raiders. You STAY THERE, so we can XO you to do it twice and such in a single turn, etc. If the raiders are not threatening any civilian ships and it would take 2 or more raider activations to kill it, then we XO starbuck to take the centurion, or we scout the crisis deck.
If we're hellishly lucky, we might dodge the raiders long enough to jump.
Actually, with your disadvantage, I think it would just be more prudent to go there myself. That way baltar could not sabotage one of our turns by moving to comm.
I will move to communications myself and activate it, moving the 5 o'clock civilian ship to 3 o'clock.
Movement Step: Move to Communications. Action Step: Activate location to look at the two civilian ships, move the port-quarter (5 o'clock) ship to aft (3 o'clock).
The Admiral tries to buy time by commanding the movement of the civilian fleet out of the way of the raider swarm.
Crisis Step: Scouting for Fuel
William Adama (Rend) must choose:
A) Skill Check [12] Tactics + Piloting
Pass: +1 Fuel
Fail: -1 Fuel and destroy 1 Raptor OR Roll a die. If 4 or lower, -1 Fuel.
After Crisis: Activate Raiders, Advance Jump Preparation
William Adama (Rend) must choose:
A) Skill Check [12] Tactics + Piloting
Pass: +1 Fuel
Fail: -1 Fuel and destroy 1 Raptor OR Roll a die. If 4 or lower, -1 Fuel.
Fuel Risk: 5 > 4, No Fuel lost.
Admiral Adama declines a search for more Fuel, not while the fleet continues to be under heavy attack.
After Crisis: Activate Raiders, Advance Jump Preparation
The massed raiders in the port-quarter activate!
Characters: Admiral William Adama (Rend) - Communications, 8 cards in hand. Lee "Apollo" Adama (Darian) - Cylon Fleet, 4 cards in hand.
Kara "Starbuck" Thrace (abotkin) - Armory, 7 cards in hand.
Gaius Baltar (Maddoc) - President's Office, 10 cards in hand. President Tom Zarek (DevoutlyApathetic) - Weapons Control, 5 cards in hand.
Receive Skills Step: Darian draws 1 Piloting and 1 Engineering card. Movement Step: Remain in Cylon Fleet Location. Action Step: Activate Heavy Raiders (and Centurions).
The Centurion on the Boarding Track advances to step 3 - two more steps to Cylon victory.
The Heavy Raider at port-quarter (5 o'clock) deposits its payload of Centurions (step 1).
The Heavy Raider at the fore of Galactica (9 o'clock) moves to the port-bow, ready to board.
The two Heavy Raiders in the starboard-quarter (1 o'clock) swing to the aft of Galactica (3 o'clock).
Lee Adama continues to squeeze in the human fleet, bringing the Centurions further into Galactica and more Heavy Raiders closer to depositing their payloads. Turn 33: Kara "Starbuck" Thrace (abotkin)
Characters: Admiral William Adama (Rend) - Communications, 8 cards in hand. Lee "Apollo" Adama (Darian) - Cylon Fleet, 6 cards in hand.
Kara "Starbuck" Thrace (abotkin) - Armory, 7 cards in hand.
Gaius Baltar (Maddoc) - President's Office, 10 cards in hand. President Tom Zarek (DevoutlyApathetic) - Weapons Control, 5 cards in hand.
Which do we consider more important at the moment, taking out some of those raiders and stalling them in place, or attempting to take out the centurions? I can potentially make a large dent in the number of raiders this turn since they're right there at one of the launch spots.
If Maddoc activates Heavy Raiders it takes only a single bad card draw for us to lose. If Darian follows him the card draws (and jumps) are irrelevant. Though Rend's opinion is probably worth hearing on this.
I think the most important move right now is to take out the centurions, personally. However, we can't play keep-away forever. I vote shoot a centurion, but it's up to you.
Assuming Civilian ship B isn't empty, we're 2 raider activations away from losing. We're also 2 heavy raider activations away from losing. From what I understand, raider activations are much more common than heavy raider activations. Either way, it's only 2 activations. (I'm discounting entirely the possibility that those 9 raiders fail to kill the single viper that is currently holding them back.)
Alright, I'm just going to go with it. I can do some serious damage in a viper at the moment, but am lacking the tools to help myself take down a centurion.
Moving to the Hangar Deck and activating it to launch myself at 5 o'clock. I will then play Piloting 3 to shoot at 4 of these nasty raiders.
Receive Skills Step: abotkin draws 2 Tactics, 2 Piloting, and 1 Leadership card. Movement Step: Move to Hangar Bay. Action Step: Launch Viper to port-quarter and play Piloting 3 to deliver Maximum Firepower to the Raiders.

Just sayin'.
