I'm totally down with nuclear power plants everywhere and using the reprocessed remains of the spent fuel rods to power generations of NASA probes and landers.
Except that proves that it wasn't a random "glitch" like Amazon claimed and instead a specific and deliberate removal of LGBT books... it's just that the responsible agency was misplaced.
...
Fuck.
Okay, this is true. Monroe was right to be suspicious of Amazon's "glitch" story, though it wasn't a deliberate act on their part. Attach the boulder of shame.

Also I remain adamant that the only chance we have of colonizing another planet in our home system is to go "fuck Mars" and work on decreasing the atmospheric density of Venus by at least two-thirds and letting the massive bleed-off of core heat restart that planets dynamo effect.

Teefs I want to go live in a posh Swiss ski resort, bundled in rabbit, fox and wolf furs while sipping rum-spiked cocoa and having pale-skinned snow bunnies rubbing all up on me

Although the company’s efforts are working, achieving sweeping changes is extremely difficult; it requires adjusting the mindsets of cultures that are thousands of years old.

I wonder if/when society will figure out how to feed itself without killing anything. I personally wouldn't mind engineered nutrients.
I know words like "protein paste" and the image of a homogeneous goop comes to mind when you think about that sort of thing, but I'm sure there's a way we can kill less pigs and still eat delicious bacon (or bacon-like product)

We never will because that's stupid and meat is tasty.

they're working on growing meat but they've still got a long ways to go before they end up with something you'd want to eat
but they are making progress and they may be able to produce a decent product some day
I'm just worried that the farm lobby will be all "THIS PRODUCT MUST HAVE 'BIO-ENGINEERED IN A LABORATORY' EMBLAZONED IN 72-POINT BOLD RED COMIC SANS ACROSS THE FRONT OF THE LABEL" even when the product is indistinguishable from natural meat
But it can't be impossible to lab-grow meat that actually looks, tastes, and has the texture of meat
I mean, we have meat cubes down. It's just a matter of aesthetics at this point.
actually from what I've read, at this point they can get stem cells from say, a pig, to grow into a paste on a matrix but it's a paste
not a chunk of meat
