Thanks!

If you have symptoms you should get checked out because here is the thing- if you do have it you might not die, but you will spread that to somebody who might.
Yeah the swine flu is relatively mild and lasts only a few days. Thousands of kids at WSU have been infected and are recovering in 1-3 days. There have also been cases at UW.
The problem with swine flu is that being a new strain seems to be a more efficient contagion than the more typical strain of influenza.
Obviously those with kids need to be careful as do the elderly as less developed immune symptoms and compromised ones seem to have far more severe symptoms.
I went to PAX with 8 people. Five of them are either really sick with flu symptoms or starting to get sick. I think this was a planned conspiracy by the government to kill off the geeky nerds.
Though I'm sure PA already has... I contacted the Grand Hyatt and that Starbucks attached to it and let them know. If anyone thinks of any other businesses that were heavilly attended during the weekend by PAX'ers, shoot them an e-mail or phone call if you find time. If you weren't staying at the Grand Hyatt, maybe contact your hotel.
Listen to Spoiler Alert on KSUA 91.5FM at http://ksua.uaf.edu/ Every Tuesday 8 PM-10PM (9-11 PM Pacific). It's a Talk show about games, movies, comics, wrestling, TV and everything in between.
Five in my party have so far experienced the same symptoms, though only one got floored with the full fever.
All I have to say is this. With H1N1 at PAX, Gabe and Tycho have now succeeded in not only their 'infect PAX' game, but also in flooring the entire game developing and gamer communities. I expect nothing less than a panel in memory of this achievement.
Khoo please state an official #paxsars tag or something so we can have all news in one place in twitter. And something like #PAXFLU would be better. #paxsars might sound a bit overblown at this point but at the panic right now it seems like sars would be better than piggy flu.
I personally woke up 4 hours ago with a sore throat and I'm now feeling constrictions in my throat.
Ah crap. I only went on Saturday, and got a sore throat last night, followed by general aches and runny nose this morning. Going to the doctor this afternoon, we'll see what they say.
Well I definitely felt a little sick yesterday morning, and I'm still kind of tired today, but I'm chalking it up to travel, allergies, jetlag, and general exhaustion and dehydration from an awesome weekend in a far-away place. Nothing flu-like as of yet. Either way, nothing to panic about.
Never got con-crud at PAX before this year. Also never touched the bean-bags before this year. Coincidence? I'm thinking those buggers suck up the infectious goo of everyone thats touched them...
My friends and I went in a group of 4 up to PAX. One of us started coming down sick Saturday night with a sore throat, far worse by Sunday night and bedridden on Monday with sore throat, cough, fever, and body aches. He's supposed to go see a doctor when he gets home. Hopefully, it isn't swine flu for his sake..and ours... :?
Three of us from D&D picked up SOMETHING. I got it first, then Passerbye, and now Premiere Kakos.
I fortunately don't have anything flying from my orifices other than lung goo, and am improving overall, and mostly just have an occasional rough cough and a mild fever.
Would be a great time to have insurance and/or an income right now.
I live in Seattle, and only attended on Friday. All three of us who took ill shared some hummus and toppings, including tomatoes, at the Six Arm, so we may have picked it up there. Passerbye did not attend PAX until Saturday, but got the illness a day later.
I feel like complete crap. Throbbing headaches all night. Chills. Fever. Coughing. But... damn, PAX was so worth it!
No puking/nasty poops yet. Anyone had those symptoms?
I've had some nasty poos, but this is not abnormal after a weekend of no sleep and crappy food.
Otherwise, for me, it's a pretty mild cough (and the symptoms this causes: slight sore throat, slight headache) and a bit of light-headedness (I slept on the couch last night -- this is a normal thing when I'm sick and sleep on the couch).
I'm sequestering myself to my bedroom for now, so as not to infect my family, but I suspect I've just got a cold or mild flu. WebMD says you don't need to see a doctor unless you've got serious symptoms, so unless I start throwing up or find myself coughing up a lung, I think I'l just drink lots of water, hit myself with some cough drops and NyQuil, and call it a day.
Friday, while waiting in line for a panel, a beach ball with some writing landed by me. I picked it up and it said, "Congratulations! You now have Swine Flu!" I thought it was a joke not a confirmation.
On Sunday after watching a guy playing Diablo 3 so intently that he refused to take his eyes off the screen and sneezed twice all over the keyboard, I decided that next year I needed to sanitize everything, this just confirms it.
To anyone who is sick, feel better and see you next year!

Just go to the doctor if you're sick.

aches:Check
headache:Check
Fatigue:Check
Sadly, all those I can also blame on a 12 hour car drive, combined with being at PAX for 3 days
Hope noone else actually gets it!
