What can I use my 120hz TV for?

Ok so I've had a 120hz 61" Samsung 1080p 3D-Ready HDTV for a while now, but it is always at a default 60hz. I'm wondering if there is anything I can use or view that displays at 120hz? I have all major consoles connected to it as well as HD cable. I don't know if content can't be viewed at 120hz unless it supports it, or I have to change a setting somewhere, so I'm asking.
Your TV is always operating at 120hz.. you can't change it.
That annoying "1920x1080 60hz" popup you get when changing inputs on the screen or during start up is the resolution of the signal being input into your screen. It's confusing, but is intended to help troubleshoot problems with you video sources.
I don't know of much anything that offers 120hz video. Maybe with PC gaming, since the Windows display settings allow you to choose a refresh rate.
If it has a special input for 3d glasses, you can rock some 3d TV at home with the right hardware.
Yeah, I just don't know if I'll get my cost out of them yet though.
I've used the iz3D driver to play games with my plain old cyan/red glasses and it's actually pretty cool. Wouldn't say it makes me play better, but it sure looks neat. I imagine with "proper" 3D, with proper being stereoscopic glasses, it would be even better.
Skate 2 has an anaglyph mode, and let me tell you it feels awesome barreling down a hill in 3D.
I have the latest model of 61 inch samsung led dlp, perhaps the same as yours?
Anyway, I got it mostly for nvidias 3d vision glasses, gaming with them in most games I've got is amazing

So does it just work by default when using it with a 360 or PS3?

No PC only. It works by splitting the input into 2 60hz streams, so you realistically need a 200 series graphics cards to get decent frame rates with it

That's how the TV works too, though I do have a 260 in my PC.
The nvidia drivers render two different perspectives, one offset for the left eye, one offset for the right, the glasses obfuscate the right eye lense while the image for the lef is up, and then the left eye while the right image is up. Alternating each, idealy at 120 hz. I don't think there will be any support for any consoles in the near future.

I read OP and was going to say this exact same thing.

Posts
- Removing judder from 24fps sources
- Using the faster 120Hz refresh rate to reduce motion blur
Bad Things:
- "Motion-Enhancing" any source up to 120Hz and making it look like shitty HandyCam soap opera footage
Enable 120Hz, disable "MotionPlus" or "Frame Insertion" or whatever is named that way. Bam.
Can trade TF2 items or whatever else you're interested in. PM me.

I've had it for almost a year.

Yeah, I am thankful for that explanation.
