My iPhone is having trouble connecting to the 3G... and I have no idea why. It won't even connect to the Edge network. Thoughts?
Firstly, have you been able to connect to 3G there before?
Has there been an issue with the local tower? A quick chat with AT&T should be able to bring that to light if so.
Have you tried restarting?
The iPhone is a tiny little computer, and computers as we all know are complex little fuckers who like to malfunction until hard reset.
Are you using the latest firmware/software?
There was an issue with the older versions and the 3G network that could cause it to damn near permanently loose the 3G connection when switched between towers.
Don't know how you know I'm from Stillwater area... I'm in Norman now. I've been connected to the 3G for the past year and now it won't for some reason.
I hard reset and reset all the settings. So... I have no idea.

Call AT&T.
My friend's 3g had this problem when he first got it, they did something and fixed it. It would connect for a bit after an airplane reset, but go away moments later.

Well, all the Sooner stuff made it a bit easy to guess Stillwater. :P
So it's not the network then. Hmm. If all else fails, make an appointment to go to the Genius Bar at the Apple Store in OKC (you can do it online) and have them look at it. They're ridiculously helpful.
And it started working all of a sudden, sorry about all of thus but thanks for the help.

Glad you got it running. Just remember your snake oil and the direction of the nearest river, in case it needs to be threatened into functioning again!

Do airplane mode on and off
