So I moved to Orlando about 9 months ago with my boyfriend (at the time) We broke up about a month later and he moved out. I now have a roommate who seems to get all the guys. I just don't get it She is okay I guess but I think I am much better looking and a bit smarter. I just have no luck with men. I have been on about 15 dates since my ex, but all of them seem to go for my roommate or tell me there not interested in me. Is there just no good me in Orlando?

But honestly, what exactly are you looking for? If you are looking for "true love" you can't expect instantaneous results from random dates.

You think you are but as has been pointed out that doesn't mean you are. My old roomie thought this too and couldn't figure out why I was dating a lot and she wasn't dating at all (ended up getting wicked jealous and pissy about it). Well she wasn't approachable and came off as full of herself and a bit snotty while I was really laid back and easy to talk to. Odds are somethings happening on these dates you don't realize you're doing or don't want to share, either way, in situations like this the individual is usually the issue not the rest of the world.
In 9 months you've had 15 dates and you think you're doing something wrong? Do you want a new date every week?
I think it's more she wants to see someone steady or wants the dates to stop always ending with her being told that the guy doesn't see it working out.
What I also don't get is how her roommate is "getting" these dudes. If she gets one, doesn't that take her out of the running?
I'm pretty sure that she is referring to just hooking up.

Orlando is weird, avoid the bar scene guys though, they are all pricks and frat boys.
Also, ascannerlightly is a manhoor! :-P
Hey, I bet some of us nice Orlando PAers will take you out for a nice lobster dinner!

you think maybe you're throwing your net a bit wide? there's no way you're meeting that many people and actually finding many that are actual keepers.
edit: not that I don't envy you, but the point still stands
