This is the first that I've heard of DQVI DS in a loooooooong time, since that initial announcement with IV and V dropped. As someone who dutifully bought and loved IV and V on DS, I'm stoked as hell about seeing more of VI.
DQIII on mobile platforms is interesting if only because, given Square-Enix's recent decisions to bring mobile-only games to the PSP and WiiWare recently, there's a slim chance it could make it over here at some undetermined point in the future. Fingers crossed!

At this year's TGS, there will be two Dragon Quest titles on display: Dragon Quest VI and Dragon Quest III. Both titles will have trailers and playable demos as well.
Dragon Quest VI was originally released in Japan on the Super Nintendo in 1995 and DQIII was released in 1988 in Japan on the Nintendo Entertainment System.
The DQVI remake is coming to the Nintendo DS, and the DQIII remake is coming to Japanese cell phones. Both are TBA.

I figured that most of the DQ focus would be on IX while it steamrolled over Japan, but while we wait the long, agonizing wait for that over in the West it's nice to know that DQVI is up and playable over there. I wonder if we would get that here in the U.S. before IX or not.
