Stuttery performance on medium settings (must be... 20FPS avg), Xbox pad isn't even recognized, so I'm left confused as to what keyboard prompt corresponds to what Xbox button, and a left side mono audio speaker problem solved by setting to basic acceleration on Windows, which will probably sap performance even more on the game.
I just hope the game itself is fun, I plan to have a go on co-op with my cousin but I'm worried his ATI 3850 is going to struggle really hard, my 8800GT was chugging along as it is.

However we managed to co-op after the 2nd try, and after 5 minutes we were on the run from police in a car, with me shooting at them fruitlessly. The important part was that I couldn't stop laughing my head off, my cousin drove like a drunk, smashing into each and everything that was being rendered. The Mayhem activity is a stroke of genius - a mode which gives you every weapon under the sun along with infinite ammo and encourages you to completely tear shit up? Hell yes (though I just ended up blasting fences which made great combo chains) :^:
If the performance wasn't so spotty I would've claimed this to be one of the best games ever, but it'll have to settle for "damn good fun when it runs".

This was in Charlestown (Docks and Warehouse District in the south of the map), near the underpass. If you look at the mini-map, it's pretty easy to figure out where. It was at night. And I had taken the territory from The Brotherhood.
I shot a pimp and suddenly they just started appearing from everywhere. Since pimps don't use guns, I decided I and my three henchmen would keep it fair and stick to hand to hand. It started off okay, but we started to get worn down by the tide of pimps. Eventually I ran to a safe distance and used my assault rifle to cover my men's retreat. Using human shields and infinite ammo weapons, I probably could have held out indefinitely, but there was something decidedly unnerving about infinite pimps.
Pimps drop a lot of money, so this might be way to raise cash quickly, if it can be reproduced. I went by subsequently and it didn't happen again, but that was during the day.

90% of the framerate dips in SR2 are caused by the game streaming data off the hard drive in a very un-optimized way. you could get triple xfire'd 5870s and it wouldn't help that. :P

Dual booting involves installing a separate OS in addition to Windows 7 (like Windows XP or Vista) on a different partition, and then choosing which OS you would like to boot when you start your PC. The two different OS should be able to share the same data partition for your files.
Diversions really are pointless, and in the case of Taxi, really annoying. Screw the people who want you to drive really slow, because then you barely make any money getting to your destination. Screw the people who want to go fast because it's a fucking taxi cab that handles like something from The Flintstones and goes like 40 miles an hour so it's never "fast enough" for them.

I'm still trying to figure out my what-OS-to-use problem, but since I don't have actual Vista disks I can't really install it anywhere, partition or not. (I assume piracy is probably not the avenue to go down this time.) But I've kinda gotten used to the double speed and I'm just living with it. It makes the tagging minigame impossible though.

Was running around earlier as Mr Sunshine and then Jyunichi causing trouble. Also, all the special mod unlocked vehicles you can buy (cars, ships, planes, helis) seem to be at the Foreign Power dealership, and not Cycles or Ship It.
After doing some testing earlier, I came to the realization that the compiled patch from the Volition modding forum was incomplete and parts of it were broken. It also contained outdated versions of individual mods. Being the obsessed Saints Row 2 fan that I am, I spent tonight learning how to use Gibbed's Saints Row 2 modding tools, and was able to assemble my own shiny new Saints Row 2 patch using the latest mod versions, plus some new additional mods as well. I've tested the mod and everything seems to be working flawlessly.
The .rar contains a readme.txt with details on what mods are contained, and instructions on how to install (it's simply a matter of replacing a couple of files in your SR2 directory.)

You're very welcome. It is quite an amazing addition to our SR2 weapons arsenal of destructive fun.
As far as infinite satchels go, you could always just turn on the infinite ammo cheat or do Mayhem lev 6, like you mentioned. My thought for the mod is that this is an alternate way to stock up on satchels at Friendly Fire without having to mess with cheats. You'll also be able to tote around 300 of them now (up from the original paltry 10.) The satchels are only one small part of a weapons overhaul mod I'm working on that tweaks damage output, fire rate, and clip size for many of the guns.

A couple of fun things to try are aiming it down at NPC's feet and firing at an angle, and also shooting NPCs with it inside an enclosed space. This mod was based off a request from Curly Haired Boy for a gun that would "send people to the moon."

* Modified minigun to do 3x damage, and increased clip size to from 600 rounds to 5000 rounds. Takes out cars reasonably quick and is actually worth carrying around now.

The Lazarus Gun by IdolNinja
Created a new gun based off the taser which can be purchased at Brass Knuckles. The name it shows up as in Brass Knuckles is .lazarus. Shots from the gun bring NPCs back to life from the dead. It has a laser targeting reticule for easy aiming, rapid fire for holding the trigger and sweeping around an area of corpses, a sniper scope, dual wielding, and crackling lightning and booming thunder as the firing sound fx. The muzzle flash was also changed to DT_spotlight01 which results in a light from the sky to beam onto the muzzle when fired. Multiple firing will intensify the strength and wideness of the beam. A quick press of attack will resurrect a dead NPC without electrical convulsion. A slightly longer press (or hold of the trigger) will cause electrical convulsions first then followed by revive. The idea for The Lazarus was based off a revive gun idea by sam lynch 2.

These modified files are for the use of other modders who want to look at the changes, or tweak things for themselves. KNOWN ISSUES:
We Have It issues:
* Certain big vehicles (like the Snipes 57 plane) will explode when purchased at dealerships due to their size when they spawn. They will still be added to your garage when purchased though and are retrievable from there.
* The northern Ship It dealership goes apeshit when attempting to purchase large yacht class boats, due to its small dock. If you're in the market for a huge boat, visit the southern Ship It dealership to buy one instead.
* Maero's unique truck can be customized with all options except paint color. If you try to customize the color it will crash the game.
Cumulative Unlock/Restore Issues:
* If wallet chains are assigned to necklaces, and a game is saved with the character wearing both a chain (specifically, a version coloured manually) and a leather choker, loading this savegame will produce severe graphical glitches on the choker (sometimes it causes crashes and the savegame becomes permanently corrupted). Changing choker to something else and then back fixes the glitches.
* If you see a "preview unavailable" message when trying on clothes, try to strip your character of any clothing and then re-apply the unavailable piece.
* Combining SWAT Overshirt with Ronin Jackets is likely to crash the game.
Dual Katanas Issue:
* The dual katana mod makes the Jyunichi story fight pretty hard since his attack animation has been sped up considerably.
Idle Animations Issues:
* Pole dancing only works at T&A and the Porno Palace. It does not work at Technically Legal or your crib. The easiest way to make it work is "bump" a NPC off one of the 3 main poles at T&A. To "bump" a NPC, simply walk into them and bump them off the pole. If you run into them or use a weapon, they will cower/run and it won't work.
Character Cheat Issue:
After activating a cheat to change your character into a NPC the screen will go black. You need to press the Escape Key twice to continue.

I shot a pimp and suddenly they just started appearing from everywhere. Since pimps don't use guns, I decided I and my three henchmen would keep it fair and stick to hand to hand. It started off okay, but we started to get worn down by the tide of pimps. Eventually I ran to a safe distance and used my assault rifle to cover my men's retreat. Using human shields and infinite ammo weapons, I probably could have held out indefinitely, but there was something decidedly unnerving about infinite pimps.
Pimps drop a lot of money, so this might be way to raise cash quickly, if it can be reproduced. I went by subsequently and it didn't happen again, but that was during the day.

90% of the framerate dips in SR2 are caused by the game streaming data off the hard drive in a very un-optimized way. you could get triple xfire'd 5870s and it wouldn't help that. :P

Dual booting involves installing a separate OS in addition to Windows 7 (like Windows XP or Vista) on a different partition, and then choosing which OS you would like to boot when you start your PC. The two different OS should be able to share the same data partition for your files.

You're very welcome. It is quite an amazing addition to our SR2 weapons arsenal of destructive fun.
As far as infinite satchels go, you could always just turn on the infinite ammo cheat or do Mayhem lev 6, like you mentioned. My thought for the mod is that this is an alternate way to stock up on satchels at Friendly Fire without having to mess with cheats. You'll also be able to tote around 300 of them now (up from the original paltry 10.) The satchels are only one small part of a weapons overhaul mod I'm working on that tweaks damage output, fire rate, and clip size for many of the guns.

Curly's Electric Orbital Riot Pimp Launcher by IdolNinja
Modified the new Riot Special gun (available for purchase at Friendly Fire) with 3x range, 10x ragdoll force, taser muzzle flash animation, and grenade launcher "WHOOMP" sound fx. Also, tied the pimp slap melee to alt fire so you can pimp slap people into the air with it too. A couple of fun things to try are aiming it down at NPC's feet and firing at an angle, and also shooting NPCs with it inside an enclosed space. This mod was based off a request from Curly Haired Boy for a gun that would "send people to the moon."

* Modified minigun to do 3x damage, and increased clip size to from 600 rounds to 5000 rounds. Takes out cars reasonably quick and is actually worth carrying around now.
* Satchel Charges are now purchasable at any Friendly Fire and max cap has been raised from 10 to 300
* All other thrown weapons have their cap raised from 10 to 100
* Max Sniper ammo increased from 100 to 500
* RPG Rocket ammo max increased from 25 to 100
* Changed the muzzle flash animation on the .44 Shepard Magnum to nitrous_start fx and increased damage by 2x
* Changed the muzzle flash animation on the NR4 Glock to nitrous fx, increased firing rate 3x, and increased damage by 2x
* Changed the muzzle flash animation on the Vice 9 Beretta to trail_molotov and increased damage by 1.5x
* Changed the muzzle flash animation on the GDHC .50 Desert Eagle to car_crash and increased damage by 1.5x

Super guns galore!
This patch compiles all of my favorite Saints Row 2 PC mods from the talented modders at the Volition forums, along with my own personal mods into one big super patch. The reasoning behind making it was so that our current SR2 group from the Penny Arcade forums can all be on the same version. Original authors are credited for each mod along with links to their original posts. Special thanks to Gibbed for releasing his SR2 modding tools.
WARNING: Make sure to use a new and different save when trying this out in case it does something funky to your game. Also, do not attempt to play coop with someone who is not using this exact same mod, as it will likely lead to crashing on both ends. This mod is meant as something to have fun with after finishing the game.

The Lazarus Gun by IdolNinja
Created a new gun based off the taser which can be purchased at Brass Knuckles. The name it shows up as in Brass Knuckles is .lazarus. Shots from the gun bring NPCs back to life from the dead. It has a laser targeting reticule for easy aiming, rapid fire for holding the trigger and sweeping around an area of corpses, a sniper scope, dual wielding, and crackling lightning and booming thunder as the firing sound fx. The muzzle flash was also changed to DT_spotlight01 which results in a light from the sky to beam onto the muzzle when fired. Multiple firing will intensify the strength and wideness of the beam. A quick press of attack will resurrect a dead NPC without electrical convulsion. A slightly longer press (or hold of the trigger) will cause electrical convulsions first then followed by revive. The idea for The Lazarus was based off a revive gun idea by sam lynch 2.

A special shotgun that ragdolls NPCs with a massive blast of air is available for purchase at Friendly Fire. I've also greatly increased the force_ragdoll variable from 900 up to 9001 (it's over NINE THOUSAND!) so the gun will knock someone clear across the street when fired.

These modified files are for the use of other modders who want to look at the changes, or tweak things for themselves. KNOWN ISSUES:
We Have It issues:
* Certain big vehicles (like the Snipes 57 plane) will explode when purchased at dealerships due to their size when they spawn. They will still be added to your garage when purchased though and are retrievable from there.
* The northern Ship It dealership goes apeshit when attempting to purchase large yacht class boats, due to its small dock. If you're in the market for a huge boat, visit the southern Ship It dealership to buy one instead.
* Maero's unique truck can be customized with all options except paint color. If you try to customize the color it will crash the game.
Cumulative Unlock/Restore Issues:
* If wallet chains are assigned to necklaces, and a game is saved with the character wearing both a chain (specifically, a version coloured manually) and a leather choker, loading this savegame will produce severe graphical glitches on the choker (sometimes it causes crashes and the savegame becomes permanently corrupted). Changing choker to something else and then back fixes the glitches.
* If you see a "preview unavailable" message when trying on clothes, try to strip your character of any clothing and then re-apply the unavailable piece.
* Combining SWAT Overshirt with Ronin Jackets is likely to crash the game.
Dual Katanas Issue:
* The dual katana mod makes the Jyunichi story fight pretty hard since his attack animation has been sped up considerably.
Idle Animations Issues:
* Pole dancing only works at T&A and the Porno Palace. It does not work at Technically Legal or your crib. The easiest way to make it work is "bump" a NPC off one of the 3 main poles at T&A. To "bump" a NPC, simply walk into them and bump them off the pole. If you run into them or use a weapon, they will cower/run and it won't work.
Character Cheat Issue:
After activating a cheat to change your character into a NPC the screen will go black. You need to press the Escape Key twice to continue.
