What's a good way to open and print an 84MB, 300+ page .tif file?

Windows Picture & Fax Viewer is working way too slowly. Is there something better to use?

Yeah, only thing I can think of is Adobe acrobat pro. However if you had that you probably wouldn't need a .tif file in the first place.

I also can open .tif with lucent image viewer and microsoft document imaging which are on my work computer.

If you have access to Acrobat, maybe PDF it then print it. Shouldn't take too long to convert it.

try GIMP, it's free. No idea if it'll print things.

I could be wrong, but I don't think GIMP can handle multi-page tifs. If it works, I'd love to know.

Possibly paint.net, i've not used it for anything that big yet however.
Free, and worth a shot though!

Otherwise, you could always take the file to a local print shop and have them crank you out a copy.

ImageJ? I fairly sure it can read multipage TIFF files. But there are plugins if it can't.

Edit: I'm fairly certain now. http://rsb.info.nih.gov/ij/index.html

Do you have access to the person who didn't make this file a reasonably sized PDF?

What can I say? People are retarded.

Conversion to a .pdf with Adobe worked like a charm. Thanks, guys.
