I nicked someone's car while backing out. It wasn't major, (my car can be buffed, no visible damage), but the other person's car was dented a bit. It was dark so I don't know how badly ... but it's not severe and I hope it can be fixed at a reasonable price. I want to exclude getting insurance involved since I'm thinking it'll be more expensive for both parties going that route. I'm a young driver... and since I'm at fault it will f8ck me silly. My plan was to ask the other party to go to a body shop and get a quote to fix the damage, and I would write a cheque for that amount. Is that reasonable? Does anyone have any ballpark figures regarding getting dents fixed? From what I recall the panel was the one in front of the passenger door.
I haven't spoken to the other party yet (they weren't there, I left my number and stuff).

I got hit by a car driven by a fat, drunken redneck who was high at the time.
What does that have to do with this thread? Probably nothing, but it involves something bouncing off a car, and I think my body bouncing off kinda fits in with the subject.
Plus it's a fun story to tell people.
And I'm trying as hard as possible not to make any rear end jokes.
Some dude was pulling out of a lot through stopped traffic without looking and I hit him with my truck. He cracked my headlight and I demolished his front end. It was ruled his fault, I almost felt bad for the dude.
I got in a low-speed collision at this fucking horrible four-way stop in town
it's literally the second busiest intersection in town, four directions of two-way lanes, two leading into a shopping center and the other two leading to the two biggest commercial streets, and they have STOP SIGNS around it
for six years, every time I drove by there I went "that intersection is retarded" and bam, one day I clip another lady because my side was going but her side was also going and the side on the right started to go and I was watching them
I know people who go 10-15 minutes out of their way every morning to avoid that intersection, there are so many accidents there

since you have no damage on your car, odds are you'll get away with it
this was a wonderful opportunity for a thread title filled with "rear end" and "backing up" puns
and there are no puns to be found
Need some stuff designed or printed? I can help with that.

Steam
did you rear end him
(knock on wood)
you just did
Just try not to be the butt of anyone's joke.
Steam
it was just a tiny bump, though, nowhere near enough to cause any damage
that is my only traffic accident so far
as a member of the teen/young adult demographic, I guess it was guaranteed to happen sometime

I LIKE YOUR REAR END
haha
pipe, please respond to this how I want you too.
