Divine Divinity Sequel Coming to 360 and PC in November
Not sure if this was already known or not, haven't seen anything about it in the forums. Release I believe is sometime in November this year. I remember the original was a pretty fun RPG romp back in the day. I'm kinda happy to see some more serious (PC oriented) RPG's hitting the the 360. Sacred 2 I've already had a blast with, Divinity 2 looks to be interesting as well.
cdv USA to Publish Divinity II - Ego Draconis in North America
Publisher to immerse players in an unparalleled adventure this holiday season
Cary, NC, September 17, 2009 – Just in time for the upcoming holiday season, cdv USA will be bringing the fantasy epic Divinity II - Ego Draconis to PC and the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft. This extraordinary action-RPG continues the epic and stirring tale told by its best-selling predecessor in the Divinity series.
Released in Germany since July, EU release they were aiming for September last I heard - not sure if they'll make it and US release could be as late as December.
Germans seem to have liked it and they made some improvements since then. Late US release has something to do with marketing campaign of CDV that hasn't gotten anywhere yet.
Looking forward to it.
So they got a publisher at last? Prior, they said it would be released in September and then said they didn't know if they'd get a publisher in time or at all. November is going to be a bad month if I want to play this one (Alpha Protocol at the very end of October, Dragon Age: Origins and Modern Warfare 2 and Assassin's Creed 2 in November), but I'm really excited for it. I got to have some extended hands-on with the German PC version and it was fun, if not optimized.

Played a little on the PC, I have noticed the graphic settings don't seem to work on the demo though, so it appears to be low resolution and other graphical settings.

There's currently a bug where you can't get past character creation if you have an older AMD CPU (like my AMD Athlon 64 3800. It exists in the PC Demo as well, so it's pretty universal). I played the 360 demo just to see what it was like, but I really wanted it for PC. Impressions from the demo were pretty good, there's hidden stuff all over the place, and you can use your powers to read peoples minds to improve your status with them (like merchants, to get better prices). Hopefully they fix this bug (or I eventually get a new computer) because I'd like to go through it.

I've played a bit of this on the 360, and it's decent. Very much a European hack and slash RPG. The production values are just good enough that it's probably worth playing if you like these games, although I don't think the combat is too special.

I played the german version at a friends house. My german is very meh so that didn't help. But the combat felt very lackluster and the kind of rpg advancement they had seemed kind of mundane. Just "special arrow shot" and "Hit harder" Then again i only spent like two hours on it. So what do i know.

Yeah the combat is definitely not amazing. It could have used a little more punch. It feels kind of disjointed and disconnected.

I played the demo and it felt pretty janky. The graphics weren't very good and there was some sort of framerate problem because it seemed like it was slightly skipping a lot.
