The problem with Death Cult Assassins is that they will absolutely cripple you in Kill Point games. In 4th edition, they were great because they were cheap, so when they inevitably died, it didn't matter because they'd already run in and ripped face. In 5th, each time a single death cultist dies, that's a kill point.
what was wrong with victory points, again?
You gotta watch out for those ass cans.
GoFund The Portland Trans Pride March, or Show It To People, or Else!
AOBR models are super cheap off ebay, as far as 1500 point lists go you could cram them full of killy goodness. Since a 30 man boyz squad with a PK and bosspole is only 225 points or something I was thinking of just cramming four of them in there, plus kanz and deff dred, mechboy to screen the mob, then just footslogging all over objectives.

Penitent engines are a heavy choice, not fast attack. You can't take heavy choices if you're allying witch hunters into another army.
You can't take inquisitors as a troops choice.
You can't attach librarians to a chapter master. You could take one librarian as a second HQ choice.
Your first two troop choices are illegal based on the space marines codex. Do you have the latest space marines codex?

I kinda wanna start up again, but I think all my shit is too old
the rulebook came out last year and the codexs are WIP.
what army?
Eh, I need some new shit anyway
even if it fucking bankrupts me
your stuff might still be workable

Just to clarify, you get one special weapon if you have 5 men in your tactical squad and one heavy weapon in a 10 man squad. So in a 10 man squad its 1 special weapon and 1 heavy weapon. There are no veteran sargent upgrades, you just get a regular marine one, who has one higher point in leadership and some extra weapon options.
Also as a side point I thought you could not take HQ choices when using space marine allies as they are not in the selection list in Codex WH?
Finally, going back to gray knights, buy regular marines and paint them gray. You can get the nemisis force weapons seperately and put them on regular terminators. I think forgeworld do Psycannon troop upgrades, but I am not sure.
Hoah, WAAAAAAAAGH, what is it good for?
Absolutely dakka (say it again, now!)
also 2x TwinLinked Burst Cannons (yes, 2x TwinLinked Burst Cannons).
According to my book you can only get a special weapon in a 10-man squad as well. A 5-man combat squad gets nothing.
6 of them is 1380 points
That's 180 Orks.
18 x 22 = 396 dollars, a bit steep, but
180 orks
WAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH
EDIT:
AOBR would be 20 boyz + 3 deffkoptas, 5 nobs and a warboss with a PK
Could add deff dreads for ~100 points, Mek with KFF for 85, kans for ~100, and fill the rest with boyz. Fatty green tide footslogging force with dread/deffkopta support.
Yeah sorry, you are right. I must have got 4th Ed and 5th Ed mixed up in my head at work!
He's taking WH as the parent list - doable with no sisters.
Inquisitors in troops - where did you get this from?
Librarian attachments?
Man, do you own either codex? Are you trollin'?
huh?
also xv-9 sup 8-)

I see. I was frightened away at first by the official boards saying they were awful. That all said, I really wanted to play one at release.
