Alright, so I'm getting a new Samsung Omnia and I was wondering what applications I could use that would allow me to make VoIP calls via the phone's data plan to landlines in Canada. The idea here is that while my parents can call me anytime at the mere cost of minutes I'd like to be able to call them without an additional surcharge per minute...
Verizon wants to charge either 50 cents a minute, or for 4 dollars a month I can get billed 9 cents a minute... Honestly my parents call me more often than I them, so a mobile phone VoIP solution would work best, the phone has WiFi so if that's required that's fine, but the ability to do it with the data plan would be nice..
I know Skype can do Skype to Skype, but going Skype to landline incurs a fee, I'm not sure if there's an alternative or not...
