Youtube comments: no indentation?

First let me just start by saying that I'm aware of how stupid youtube comments are and that no one in their right mind pays any real attention to them
Now that that's out of the way, why don't youtube comments have any indenting anymore? I could've sworn that before, when someone replied to a comment, the reply would be indented under the original post so you could see who was responding to what. Recently, however, I noticed that theres no indentation at all, so youll get these comments that seem totally out of place but are actually responses to posts higher up on the page.
Did they use to have indents for these things or am I just crazy? Is there any way to get the indents back?
