So, I've been listening to RadioLab... and it's awesome... but I'm going to run out of material soon.

Things I would like:

Sciency/Nerdy stuff
Music: Studio Sessions and Interviews (have listened to NPR's World Cafe)
Political stuff that's not shouty

Things I would not like:

I hear WoW has podcasts... I couldn't care less. :P

Thanks!

Allegedly a voice of reason.

Have you tried This American Life?

I also enjoy the TEDTalks video podcast, the D&D podcast from Wizards of the Coast, the PA podcasts, and my (guilty?) pleasure, News from Lake Wobegon.

    Car Talk is pretty entertaining.

Yes. Car Talk is fun as hell. I remember one episode a wife called up; her and her husband get into wars inside the car where they turn on each other's seat warmers and such, so they taught her how to swap the controls so the husband would accidentally turn on his own.

Coast to Coast saves all their broadcast for later podcast but require a subscription (or wait for a free weekend to download all you can). If you're not into the wierd stuff they usually talk about, I'd at least recommend checking Saturday topics, which are usually more 'highbrow' and have on guests that are pretty respected in history, math, sociology, whatever.

Oh man, I love Car Talk... no idea they had podcasts (yes, my research has been soooo extensive :P ).

I enjoy Coast to Coast as well... similar reaction as above.

What's TEDTalks about? Sure, I could just Google it, but we're all here and chatting, so...

    Ones I usually listen to:

Keith & The Girl - a show about anything discussed by Keith and his girlfriend Chemda
    Joystiq - videogame podcast
D&D Podcasts from the PA Crew - self-explanatory
You Look Nice Today - a journal of emotional hygiene.
Smodcast - podcast by Kevin Smith and Scott Mosier discussing anything but also inside view into movie-making
Totally Rad Show - movie review/game review weekly show

Generally very good shows all around.

Interesting people talk about interesting things. Mike Rowe on sheep castration and how we view work is the one that always comes to mind.

    GeekNights nights nights nights

Hosted by Rym and Scott, 4 times a week, different category each night:

    Monday: Science & Technology
    Tuseday: Gaming
    Wednesday: Anime, Manga and Comics
Thursday: "The lounge" (off topic discussion)

The forums are pretty cool also. From what I understand they had a panel at PAX this year...but i'm too poor to fly out from the UK to go to PAX yet. :(

    Seriously, GeekNights = Awesome.

TAL has gotten me through many long train rides to Boston/shifts at the office/what have you.

Although I did have that creepy dream about metamorphosing into Ira Glass, so I don't fall asleep to it anymore.

I've been listening to the Scientific American podcast for sciency stuff, can be hit and miss but is great in general, lots of interviews with experts in their fields.
