I decided I'm too lazy to try and fix my X-230s
And I want new speakers
No more than 150, preferably lower than that though... looking for bang for buck here, but am willing to spend for quality. 150 is the limit though, unless I can be really convinced.
I've heard cries for the Z-2300s, but what else is out there that is good?
Uses: Mostly music from laptop, but also sometimes to hook up to my xbox.
I had a thread like this, everybody told me to get the z-2300s, but the sub is too big for my taste (stupid small dorm desk), but that runs approx. $125 or so.
Instead I got the logitech Z-4 set, which has a somewhat smaller sub (9x9x9" cube) for $75 on amazon. Sounds quite good to me, maybe slightly recessed i the mids, but that's what most desktop 2.1 speakers sound like to me. Thumbs up for them, anyway.

Which seem to be new, so there are few reviews about them... but I like what I see.
