Grey Ghost I wonder how well you read the liner notes.
I wonder.

What do you usually do on the station Grey Ghost? Maybe you'll have permanent listeners now!
I didn't really read them, every 2 or 3 songs I did summaries of the action that included some phrases from the notes, but there wasn't time to do full readings, and besides I did some test recordings and it just wasn't working

You're a college radio DJ?
How do you get that job, I've always wondered.

Well in my case, they do interest meetings at the start of the year, and I went to one, went through some training over about 2 weeks, and... well, there you go
It's a student-run organization, it's entirely volunteer (though I get paid a tiny little bit because I was elected to the executive staff a couple years ago)
But anyone is free to join, you should check and see if your school has one!
Uh, assuming you're in school, Munkus, which I just realized I have no idea bout

I'm in law school.
I listen to the college radio every day because there is no other decent radio station, and I might get a decent one via the college radio station.
I'm pretty sure that I'd just make my sets by copying down my playlist from Pandora every week.

Yeah, I didn't say anything at the start of the show because I figured it would turn some people off, and I was gonna wait until the end and go "Guess what? You just listened to a rock opera about a video game!" but I ran out of time
The DJ who came on after me had been listening and he caught on as soon as he heard the names Light and Wily, but he highly approved of it
Zanmatto, sorry you missed it, but it probably wasn't all that good, these guys are just being uncharacteristically nice
BUT
I have decided that come hell or high water I am bringing these guys to Columbia, and I've sent them a message about it through their website
I did manage to hook a couple of our public affairs people through the show on Sunday, and now they are just as adamant about getting the band here as I am, so they will be trying to organize a show and I will keep you guys posted on this; I don't know how many of you guys are in any reasonable distance from Columbia but maybe you could come see the show
The guy with giant mohawk who walks by during the RVAtv video was the raddest dude ever. Jumped my roommate's car when we killed it and then we just hung out with his group all night. If they'd have kept rolling with the clip of the guy crowd surfing right after it would have been the start of a fight between Mohawk and some weird nerd/hipster hybrid thinly veiled a two man mosh.

Excellent job, buddy
Thank you Swordfights, I'm really glad you enjoyed it
edit: with you guys listening that's probably the biggest audience I can ever hope for in this time slot
I wonder.
Normally I do a free-format show, it's stuff from all genres depending on my mood from minute to minute
This was our station's fundraiser week, and so our theme is that each DJ picks a single artist to focus on for the entire show

I always figured you could show up and say you want to do a show, especially at the beginning of the semester.

Here's what you do.
Play both of the albums back to back.
Every once in a while, pause the music and imagine a college kid paraphrasing the liner notes and asking for money.

edit: whoever edited the video adds some really annoying delay and echo effects in the middle of the video and it really gets on my nerves
Wanna see them live so bad oh my god
edit: God his range
it's fucking unreal
Not even close to Columbia.
They go out West every couple of years though, cross your fingers
The whole crowd yelling "WHAT WAS HER NAME" was badasssss
This is still my favorite protomen song, not gonna even front
I always die on purpose at the end of the song.
I am a big loser.
Also how at the end of Here Comes The Arm it shifts back into that distortion-heavy style that Act I is in
This was before I knew there was a joe (I didn't listen very closely)
At about :42 you see a guy in a fedora walk past the interview with a stupid look on his face
I know that guy
They're available in both regular and extra large sizes
yeah they sold out before I got to the desk and I was in the front 1/3rd of the waiting line to get in
