My university recently got all new computers and are selling the older ones. What's available is:
---
Looking at:
Dell Precision 380 - $450.00
Intel D – dual core @ 3.00GHz – 4.00 GB Ram
2 Hard Drives - 80GB and 250GB
Nvidia Quadro FS 1400 Graphics – DVD+RW Drive
Floppy Drive – Gigabit Ethernet – Soundblaster X-FI Sound
Front Mounted USB/Firewire Ports
===
Current Rig:
HP Media Center m7070n
Intel Pentium4 640 (P) HT 3.2 GHz - 1 GB Ram
250 GB Hard Drive
Geforce 8600 GT 512 MG card
---

I was just wondering if it'd be a good deal to buy the Dell and put the 8600 graphics card in it. Or if the computer is even worth that amount.

Also the deadline for this is tomorrow morning so I've only got about 10 hours to make up my mind. So any help would be great thanks.

I think you should pass. That's not really a good deal and investing in a Pentium D isn't a good idea at this point.

I'd pass. $450 can buy a better comp then that.
(Ebay shows those computers going for around 200ish too.)
