Heavy hoodie

So with fall and winter coming its almost time for me to breakout a hoodie. Thing is my favorite one is a bit faded now. It was a burgandy Gap 1/4 zip hoodie. Reason it was my favorite was because I love the color but also because it had a really good thinkness to it and weight. It also wasn't the usual soft squishy type that you find often in normal sport/casual hoodies.

Anyways just wondering if anybody knows of a good brand of heavy hoodies that also don't come with some garish design. I'll be scouring the Gap again but you know maybe some new options.

If you have a Winners in your area you should totally hit it up. Winners is a total nightmare for women's clothes but a haven for men's.

I picked up a nice dark burgundy type AS Roma (football team) Full-zip hoody that is basically a fall jacket for $20, and also got a nice bright orange Nederlands hoody for the same. Look around in the Winners men's athetic wears and you're bound to find some nice stuff.

If you want a zip-up, the J.Crew sherpa hoodie is AWESOME. I have one and it is ridiculously comfortable and can basically function as a fall jacket. They come in normal colors and have a lightly worn look to them, but work for pretty much any situation when a hoodie is appropriate.

    Winners is Canadian.

The Wiki says Marshall's is what is was modeled after.

This is the J. Crew sherpa hoodie. More colors, and some on sale!

Ohhh ok. When I searched the first time after your suggestion it said the sherpa was sold out and it looked completly different then what you just linked to. But those do look nice. Burgandy seems to be a hard to find color on something that is also plain looking and not Virginia Tech or something.

H&M has tons of hoodies. I don't personally like wearing hoods, so I don't know if they'd have anything up your alley, but they certainly had a lot last time I was in the store.

Old Navy has a good selection of hoodies, and they are a little cheaper then JCrew

If you want your generic one colour hoody, just hit up whatever the major sporting apparel chain is in your area.

    Also check any Cabela's stores.

    Carhart is a good brand.

Check out UnderArmor hoodies. They are expensive, but for a reason. Best piece of winter clothing I own. Soft, warm as all hell, and breathable.
