'K, very specific technical question here:
Netgear MR814 Wireless Router, with the 4.14 Firmware Update. It's working just fine with the laptop as a wired router, and I've set it up with a name, password and everything. The signal's strong, which considering I'm 2 feet away from it it really ought to be, and my Laptop (HP Pavilion dv5, Vista 64 Bit Home Entertainment System) sees it. However, when I try to connect, it says, "Wireless association failed because Windows did not receive any response from the wireless router or access point." I've been banging my head a good hour on this; updated the firmware as high as exists, plugged, unplugged, restarted and all that, ran the Windows Router Compatibility test, etc. Suggestions?
