Python Site won't Load

Hello all! For quite a while, I have been trying to get a hold of a python 3.0 environment for my mac, but whenever I try to access the official site, my browsers (Firefox and Safari) won't load the page. This is the only page that this ever happens on, so it is a little irritating. If you could even suggest another place to download it, that would be great because most sites simply link back to python.org.

I did, however, manage to get a hold of IDLE, python version 2.3. It's not a big deal to me if I can't get the newest one, but it would definitely be appreciated.

(Sorry for any slow responses)

Dude, I had that exact same issue with my MacBook. I couldn't get to hyperphysics at all. It wasn't a DNS issue, or a browser issue, the site would just never load. Everything else worked fine. I'm running Snow Leopard now, and it seems the issue has gone away (or maybe it's moved to some other URL I don't know about D:). So weird.

Anyways, I found the list of python mirrors: http://www6.uniovi.es/python/Mirrors.html
    Hopefully one of them works!

Thanks mate! I'll try them now. Good to know my Mac isn't screwed up or something. I was thinking of upgrading to snow leopard, but it seems a bit expensive. Ah well. :D

So i tried the mirrors and two of them worked. But it's python 2.4. The mirror seems to be updated sometime in '07. Thanks again for the help anyways, got an upgrade out of it.

Bah, who needs 2.6.3 when you have three? IT HAS import antigravity!! ;)

    Thanks again for your help.

    EDIT:

Neither of those links work, it's the same thing with trying the python site. It says loading but nothing happens.

I'm curious, what error do you get when you try to access the python.org page?

No error. It's just... nothing happens. It doesn't freeze, it just looks at me and says, "What, I have to load this? Fine I'll look at it." The bar appears, but nothing happens.

This may not be related but I've been getting a similar error on a PC with Firefox where certain sites it will just say "nope, not showing that". Particularly NFL.com. Like some weird ass cache error.
