I Lost My Headphones and I'm Broke
INeedNoSaltwith blood on my teethRegistered Userregular
About fifteen minutes ago I lost my headphones, scoured the place, they're nowhere to be found. So I need new ones.
I was using the little earbuds that came with my ipod. I'm not an audiophile, and I'm not super picky. I just want my music to not sound terrible.
I need to replace them, and I'd like to do it fast because not having my music available to me is a very depressing idea. But I am broke.
Can you guys help me find some headphones that aren't terrible in the $10-$20 range? I don't need anything amazing, just something workable for walking between classes and stuff.
Thanks!
Edit: Preferably something I can buy online, cuz I ain't got a car to go driving to buy stuff.
Seconding the sennheisers. I had a pair for years that I never really looked after or thought about. When they eventually broke right before I went on holiday recently I replaced them in a hurry with some comparably priced sony. I was really surprised how shit the sony's sounded in comparison, and they are already falling apart.

Thirding the Sennheisers. I had a pair that was stolen along with my gym bag a few years ago. Replaced them with the Sony MX-71's and have been missing the Senns.
Honestly, if you don't know what you're looking for, have been using the stock iPod earbuds and are happy with them, you don't need any advice other than to pick the cheapest name-brand ones that aren't, like, a buck.
EDIT: That sounds a little condescending. What I mean is that anything above fifteen bucks will probably be a waste of money if you're happy with the stock earbuds. If you're looking for anything to sound good rather than listenable, you'll need to spend more, but it looks like you've hit the nail on the head with your price range in any case.

There's a pair of earbuds for three hundred dollars on amazon.com
I can't imagine how good someone's hearing must be to even benefit from sound worth three hundred dollars
What a creepy thread. You're all recommending the headphones I just got from Amazon yesterday.
Yeah, these things are sweet. My ears want to punch me for ever having used generic headphones when beauties like this existed for $17. Seriously, I'm no audiophile but I'm seriously lamenting not realizing how many more notes there were I could've been hearing this whole time. It feels like I've gone from something that gives me one of x categorically organized notes to something that can give me sound on a pure continuum.
Excellent. Fit amazing, and that's saying something because I typically can't do in-ear head-phones.
I picked up some skull candy earbuds from FYe the other day on sale for 9, Every FYE I have ever gone to has had them on sale for that. They are fairly decent.

not sure this warranted a thread
But that is helpful
are good

Do it.
