The Guiding Principles and New Rules document is now in effect.
I'm setting up a small network, and have run into a frustrating problem. I've got six OUs, one sub OU, and all have their own specific group policies. These policies were being applied properly, until I added distribution groups. Now, nothing seems to be working properly. Anyone run into this before? Is there a common error I might have made? I'm new to AD, and I'm ready to pull my hair out.
That really shouldn't have had any impact on your group policy, are you sure nothing else has changed?
Run the GPRESULT command on a workstation in a command prompt and it will show you which group policies are applied and ignored for that machine. That will at least tell you if the group policy is taking effect and your settings are just wrong, or if it actually isn't being applied.
