Multiple DV cameras into a new Macbook Pro

So I have a 15" MBP with 1 FW800 and no Expresscard slot. Is there a way I can have multiple DV cameras connected (via firewire or otherwise) simultaneously?

    FireWire is a bus protocol, like USB, so you can use a [url=FireWire hub to connect multiple FireWire devices to a single port.

    Do you have specific experience using multiple DV streams on the same bus?

    if you've ever used a computer with multiple firewire ports before those ports have all been operating on the same bus. Including an expresscard with 2 ports, those 2 ports are on the same bus. So really, that's your answer right there.

    You could run into bandwidth issues if you were trying to pull video from two cameras at the same time, but other than that it's as wunderbar says.
