A Good Flash Drive

So I bought a flash drive last week. First one I've ever purchased. PNY brand?

Anyway, here I am just a week or so later and no computer in the library will read it. I don't think it's a problem with the computers, because the one time I have used it before, it worked.

It is a small one that flips out, kind of like a switchblade. I've probably overestimated the durability of these things and flipped it out a few too many times, like how people will click and click a pen and never write.

So, is it the brand I bought? Are there good brands to buy? Am I just stupid?

    I don't know. How do I check?

    Whenever I plug it into the computer, nothing shows up, but last time it showed up under F:. I think.

    Might be the brand. I can't help fix this one, but if you buy another, I recommend sticking with either Kingston, Crucial or Corsair.

    My PNY flash drives, which I bought during a sale, work fine. I never had to format them, but then I only ever used them with my personal Mac so far.

    Has it ever worked in the library? Does it work on other computers?

    Those computers may be locked down to not read external drives.
