I got my prescription for contact lenses from my optometrist. Where can I buy cheap brand name contacts?

I bought my contacts from 1800Contacts.com, they were a little over half the price that the eye doctor's office was going to charge me. There might be a better place, but that's where I usually get mine.

my insurance does a mail order lenses thing, but it's about the same price as 1800 Contacts and the latter gives much better service (also free shipping!)

Sam's Club or Costco are exceptionally cheap, if you already have a membership.

My wife got her contacts at I believe Lenscrafters, who does price matching, even to online stores. Justlenses.com was the place where I've usually seen the best online prices.

Plus you often get a free case/bottle of solution thrown in.

My optometrist didn't. However, a locally owned glasses shop did. Guess who gets my family's business?

Online shops are great as long as everything goes well ... if you get a bum lens though, you're not going to get a replacement.

Note that a Costco membership is only, like, $50, and you can split it with a roommate or family member at the same address.
