That's what I was thinking, he looks more surprised than angry. Good strip as usual, however.
So.. it's made of wood?
anyone remember sacrifice?
Fucking.
LOVE.
SACRIFICE.
People keep bringing this up, something tells me I need to play this Sacrifice game... I did like Giants: Citizen Kabuto Though I'm not sure if the RTS in Giants is very comparable to the RTS in Brutal Legend... (it would help if you could build structures in Brutal Legend)
Anyways, great comic. Can't wait to read the news post.
They're what what's going on
Sabremau you are incredible

Also Sacrfice was awesome and if Brutal Legend is even remotely comparable, it is probably worth getting (cutting things up with an axe and guitar is pretty neat too)
You should give it a try! It's on Good Old Games for $6!

Brutal legend doesn't seem to play quite the same way (more emphasis on control over the player character, especially towards the beginning) but the RTS elements are pretty close.
What, so crash bugs and horrendous clipping issues and painfully slow attack frames aren't your thing?
Damn that game's multiplayer would've been awesome if it didn't run like a steam train full of... butts
she walks like a duck
I'm sure not I can bring myself to play such a game.
I loved the Multiplayer.
I really did not love Giants, though.
Yeah, everything about Brutal Legends turns me off.
Are you or have you ever been a member of the communist party, son

So true... I would have loved to play some multiplayer of that, but this was the age before anyone but Blizzard (go go Battle.net!) really even knew how to properly *do* online multiplayer. I think the game used GameSpy's service or something? I dunno, no one was ever on it...
And yeah, the Kabuto missions blew. All the awesome story completely drops out and you are presented with very generic "kill lots of guys" or "navigate to the end of the map" objectives.
Seriously though, the third panel face is off-expression in the official comic.
I think perhaps they have an acute aversion to fun and awesomeness.
My cousin's friend had that condition, the doctor prescribed him some anti-buzzkill tablets and he perked right up and learned to enjoy life.
