All of a sudden last night my PS3 Slim (less than a month old) decided to take forever to do anything. Well, the main menu screen is fine, but in games everything takes forever and a day to load. Any ideas?

While it's taking its sweet time can you hear the blu-ray drive seeking? That'd be my bet, the blu ray drive, but then being a month old I'd call Sony or return it.

I bought it through Amazon so I may just send it back for an exchange. I was hoping there was a cache I could flush or something.

You can format it with the XMB I believe, so it'd put everything to default settings. Really couldn't hurt. I'm not sure if that'd destroy your game saves so backup if you can.

Figured it out. I decided to directly connect it to my router the other day instead of going wireless. Unplugging the ethernet cable sorted it right out. Odd.
