I've been uber-cynical about Superman for a while, but just picked up For All Seasons and fell in love.
Question is: Assuming that's where I'm beginning, is there a semi-logical progression of TPB's that I could seek out to maximize my budding relationship with the boy in blue?
For instance, I picked up Miller's Man without fear (DD's beginning) and then followed it with Visionaries 2 & 3 (Some of DD's most baller storylines).
Be there an equivalent for big ol' supes? Besides Death/Life Without/Return.

Up, Up, and Away was pretty good. And Kurt Busiek's current issues are, from what I've read, really good. Grant Morrison's and Mark Waid's JLA had some good Superman stuff in it too. I've kind of got a fondness for the old Death of Superman, World Without a Superman, and Return of Superman storyline too, though it really doesn't hold up too well today.
I was going to give the thumbs up to a bunch of books but then I realized that all my favorite Supes stuff is all decidedly non canon. Stuff like Red Son and Whatever Happend to the Man of Tomorrow? and of course Kingdom Come (yeah, yeah, JLA and all but its really about Supes)
I did like (no matter how forced it seemed) the Death of Superman and of course the return, if only to see Guy Gardner's bowl cut. That stuff is pretty good.
Birthright is essentially an origin story, and as far as I know, it's the closest to canon of all the origin stories out there at the moment. But I can never keep track.

Allstar Superman is very excellent however.
It's an excellent read, regardless.
