Thinking of getting a Refurb Xbox 360

So I'm considering finally picking up my first Xbox 360. Popped over to Gamestop earlier and found out they have a Refurbished (by Microsoft) Pro for 200 dollars with a 20g HD, headset, and two controllers for the same price as a new Xbox Arcade. The Refurb has a 3 year warranty on things like the RROD and a 1 year parts warranty.

I'm leaning towards the refurb but after reading some posts on here and elsewhere, I'm a little wary and thought I'd try for some updated information since many of these posts were older one's. Is the HD that important? I do intend to use it for Netflix/Hulu streaming if that makes a difference as well.

Thanks!

Well, I'd do some research on identifying on how to identify what chipset is in thing, and look at it before buying. I would never buy a 360 used, especially a "refurb" because if MS didn't refurb it they won't service it.
The harddrive may be banned from xbox live, this might be a minor issue as you can probably exchange it. And yes you probably will want a harddrive of some sort.

Just bite the bullet and pay the $50 for the pro, you get a longer warranty. Just look up how to identify a Jasper chipset if you decide to buy it new though.

I would make absolutely, totally sure of any warranty details before buying a refurbed 360. Other things to think about:
I still have a 20 gig hard drive, and frankly it sucks these days. I would really like to be able to install more than one game to it at a time, and that's really not feasible.

Are the controllers included wireless or wired? You may think you don't care, but wireless controllers are so much more convenient and less cluttered. If you happen to already own a battery recharger, that's a bonus.

I tend to always go with new if the price difference isn't huge. You can get an Elite now for $300 - how important is saving $100 on a system you probably want to keep for a while? And like JHunz said, make sure the 20gb is big enough for you. I have the 120gb, with almost nothing installed on it, and it's still got 25gb used.
