Sound crackles in Advance Wars DS (defect?)

I bought this game new and every time I play it the sound is crackly. It's not the fault of my DS, as I tried two other games and the sounds plays fine through both my DS speakers and headphones.

Do I have a defective game or is this simply a flaw of Advance Wars DS?

Just want to find out if other people experienced this before I try to exchange it. TIA!

    My used copy has never had crackling sounds. It sounds like you have a defective copy, go exchange it.

    I figured it was a defect. That sucks. I'm not sure when I'll be able to get back to the store. The many annoyances of not having a car... :roll:
