Left 4 Dead 1 and 2: Chocolate Helicopters* (Helicopters banned in Australia/Germany)
Bottom line: If you've got a 360 and L4D, good times can be had. Add "A PA L4D Group" to get in on the fun!
A common complaint I hear about the list is that there's no one actually playing L4D on it. Just invite people on the list, regardless of what they're playing. The list is there to get groups together, and a lot of the time people will drop out of whatever they're doing and join in. I for one will pretty much always switch over to L4D, unless I just got in a CoD : WaW party like I did last night when Kawl wanted to play.
Man Killing Floor made me realize how awesome being able to see your team mates flashlights is. Why aren't they doing this 2, why didn't they do it in 1?
It's beyond aesthetics, it opens up interesting gameplay scenarios. Like last night we had one guy with a flashlight pointed at a stairwell while the rest of us used weapons without flashlights to mow down the incoming hordes.
You can see their flashlight, but IIRC the dynamic lighting model on it isn't as complex as in L4D. Although I could be mistaken. I might have a look later and see.
Yeah your probably right, but they could do what Doom 3 did and do some cheating on the flash effects.

Eh, the flashlight in Left 4 Dead looks like a projected texture really, and not that complex atall.

Actually, on the note of flashlights we left the last thread on, I've given all the campaigns a go playing without a flashlight on Advanced (with bots). It's fairly interesting, as for quite a few of them, accessories spawn in places with low lighting where you might not want to venture if there could be an actual threat there. I recommend playing through CC once with no flashlights if you want to see what I mean.
And, although it's rather 'after the fact', I'd actually say that Valve could make the flashlight an accessory that you find and design their levels around that, not only hiding pills etc. in dark places, but also having alternative routes that are closing on pitch black, and you might not want to go into without a flashlight, but have some benefit to taking (more item spawns, quicker route through, etc.).
Still looking for a 4-pack deal to join in on.... I cant buy it the 4pack, not enough funds, but I have paypal and will sent $34 to whoever wants to gift me a copy.

So I tried Killing Floor and didn't really care for it.
I'm posting this here instead of in a KF thread because I don't want to be one of those guys who goes into a thread about a game to only make a single post proclaiming their dislike of said game.

Good man. Now if only everyone else would take note.
Funny, I was just coming in here to make a similar post to That Dude. Tried Killing Floor just now. All it did was make me want to play Left 4 Dead. You don't really appreciate some of the design decisions they took with the game until you're confronted with how it could have been.

Bunting, Owls and Cushions! Feecloud Designs
that is crucial stuff.
Do we actually know the time the demo will be released on Tuesday? Or at least the time Valve says it'll be available so we can adjust accordingly?

Wait what?! Demo next week!? Awesome! :^:

It's very technical.

Sigh. I want to try it on my computer and see if it's as big a deal as everyone thinks it is. If it is, I'll believe you.
Well I want a chocolate helicopter.
I guess we don't all get what we want in life DO WE?!

My computer is only a step or two above a toaster, so it'd probably kill mine.
And speaking of playing this on a toaster, have the spec's for L4D2 been confirmed to be the same as L4D1?

Once again you see that there is nothing you can possess that I can not take away.
Seriously, I will try and update it and build upon it.

Pretty much, they're nearly identical.
