Update graphics card?

I believe I need to update my graphics card so I can run Anno 1404 at full setting, or at least close to full.

My computer has an AMD Phenom Quadcore at 2.2ghz and 3gb of RAM, so I'm pretty sure the fault lies with my graphics card, which is an ATI Radeon HD 2400 XT, right?

I don't know much about computers, so any advice on what to update would be greatly appreciated.

P.S. I'm not looking to break the bank, so please take that into account.

I hate you and you hate me.

I would personally get something in the 5000 series ATI cards but be very careful that you have a sufficient power supply for whatever you end up going with.

Yeah, you're right about the video card. It's getting a little older now, and some games (like Resident Evil 5) say that is the lowest card that it will work with.

Any suggestions on a good graphics card? I think my limit is around $100.

And I don't know much about power supplies and stuff...how does that work?

If you can spring for a bit more I would go with something like this

Less than half the stream processors and texture units, for starters. Also half the raster processors.

Since I saw RE5 mentioned, you can look at some benchmarks and see what that means in practice, which is that the 5750 is much slower than the 5870.
