Online Payment Options

I've got an offer for some 3D work, but I'm not sure how to ask for payment. I'd like to avoid paypal, but it's too large of a sum to do through online gift cards or anything similar to that. Anyone have any suggestions on how to do relatively large transfers of money online in a secure fashion?

If you're comfortable with it they could do a direct deposit. You just give them I think a routing number from your bank account and they can only deposit money in there. At least that's how I understand it, there may be some more details involed though.

Yahoo has a back end payment thing for stores. I've bought stuff from some places online where the payment processing is done by Yahoo! Don't know much about it beyond that.

Yeah if they're a legitimate business at all, they should be able to do a direct bank transfer. It's by far the best option.

If it's just some small client or individual you did the work for, it's probably a bit harder. Paypal's probably your best bet unless you wanted to do it through some kind of email money transfer that many banks allow (though those usually have daily limits, so it may take a few transactions).

It's just a single client, but he's handled everything so far like an actual business, so I'll look into the direct bank transfer.

    Thanks guys!
