I quite like flying, at least shorter trips. I can't sleep on airplanes so longer flights tends to just kill me.
But I have had some great shorter domestic flights. Once when I flew home to stockholm, from where I was studying down south, I misread the time on the ticket and to had to call a taxi in a panic and tell him to just book it down to the airport.
During the drive he radioed the taxi central and had them send over the phone number to the (very small) airport so i could call ahead. They delayed the flight for 5 minutes for me and had me take my baggage with me into the plane (after it went through the scan) instead of the going in the hold. I felt like dickhead but like a very happy dickhead. And to top it I had a great few of the propeller hub that (because of the curvature of it) let me see the reflection of almost the entire plane as we flew.
I also had the privilege of a nice flight in the Himalayas that had some just fantastic views and a pretty exciting airstrip:
Finding flat ground isn't very easy there as you can imagine so the airstrip has a pretty noticeable slope to it to help planes get up to speed.
But longer international flights can be truly dreadful, mostly because of the long wait times and that I just feel like shit for days after
