Hey look at me, creating a thread for my very first time. Aint that somthin' special?

In here we'll discuss our top 5-10 favorite games of all time, and why they're your favorite.
It could be based on nostalgia, like the very fist time you kicked your friend’s ass on Pong.
Maybe it’s the story line that just kept you sucked into the game like a good book.
Who knows, everyone has their own reasons.

So here’s my list, and a breif description as to why I love these games, in no particular order of preferance, that’d be like choosing a fvorite child (although that could be easy if your child is richer than the other).

1: Call of Duty Modern Warfare.
Intense fire fights, and amazing set pieces. I’m a big fan of anything that is war in the Middle East. Not that I’m a fan of the war it’s self, I just think it’s a great setting and well, it’s somewhat relevant to what’s happening right now in the world. I’m a big fan of the shows Generation Kill, Blackhawk Down and Over There. COD : MW incorperates a lot of ideas form those shows in its game. Also, the MP is top notch. Seriously, I can’t thing of anyone who doesn’t cuss when they’re 1 kill away from a airstike and they get gibbed.

2: Doom, Doom 2, Doom 3
Doom was the first PC game I ever played. And well, the first time I played Doom was on the SNES. I played ithe shit out of that game. I still remember sitting at the dinner table during Thanks Giving and everytime I closed my eyes all I could see was Barons of Hell and Imps running at me. Back in the day that game was terriying. Hearing a Baron roar right as you finally find that Red key and Unlock that one damn door you had a hell of a time looking for just kicks the intensity up about 300%. Doom 3 is a fav because I had a hard on for an updated version of Doom on the (then) current generation platforms. I probably played through it 80 times.

3: Full Spectrum Warrior
Basically the exact same reason as COD : MW. Minus the multiplayer, I never got into that part of the game. I liked that it wasn’t your typical 3rd person shooter, and the tactics used made me feel like a real squad leader. After planning and suppressing the enemy, having your fireteam flank andand obliterating them always felt good.

4: Lumines.
It was my first PSP game and I was hooked on it. I used to play it hours upon hours on end, only taking a break to make coffee and pee. I now have it on both the PS3 and XBLA. Seriously, if you haven’t tried the puzzle game, you should. It’s pure eye candy and fun to boot.

5: Silent Hill 1.
I’ve never finished this game. I still don’t know how it ends. And I’m not sure I’ll ever beat it. But it remains one of my all time favorites. Its setting is something straight out of my worst nightmares and artistcally it was exactly what I love (Yeah, I’m a fan of the morbid, creepy freaky S&M, gothy style of arts out there). Obscure creepy humanoid like things wrapped in barbed wires who just want to fucking mutilate you is aces in my books. This game was the first ever to make me drop a controller. The locker scene, specifically.

So there you have it. I could keep going but honestly I’m at work.

State your top games peeps!

Since it's your first thread, I'd be remiss if I didn't tell you that poll threads (such as this one) are against the rules.
