Call Of Duty MW2 Min Specs Question

Union Of VUnion Of V Registered User new member
Figured this was more of a technology question than a gaming one - until I build my new PC, I'm stuck with a 2.3GHz Dual-core, GeForce 7600-equipped laptop. I want to get back into gaming, and I'm getting excited about the above title - HOWEVER the quoted min specs are a Pentium 4 3.2GHz, GeForce 6600 system.

Now, it's been a while since I've messed around with technology, so can anyone tell me if a dual-core 2.3GHz processor will work like a single-core 3.2GHz one? If not, any decent FPS PC games that can keep me occupied until July?

Thanks.

You can play it, you far exceed the minimum specs

    I have a Core 2 Duo T7600 2.33 ghz laptop with a Geforce 7400 Go.

I can run COD4 MW, the first, pretty well at like 800x600 on reasonably good quality settings. If I remember correctly.. Maybe it was 640x480...

I doubt MW2 will require much (if any) more power to run than the first.

The Pentium 4 spec is for a single core processor, so you should be able to play that game.
