When I first joined, real life relations with forumers was taboo and actually rediculed. I disappear, and when I come back, the snide remarks and bickering was replaced with rather thought-out comments and a friendlier atmosphere. It kinda caught me off guard (if anyone ever read my topic about a rifle). I mean, I wasn't even completely chewed out! I kinda like the new vibe. Feels more open. Although I do miss the occassional flamebaits.

I think I enjoy the joke more when I have it in the context of the newspost, but the two always stand on their own. They very rarely split the two so that the punchline of one is buried in another.
A lot of times my roommate will just read the newspost and maybe check the comic later on in the day.
Doesn't he find it strange when Tycho spends three paragraphs alluding to something, finished with a link to the comic, and then changes subjects completely?
