What is the best way to go about selling off all of my old magic cards? Is it neccesary that I inventory all of them to get the best value, or will I get basically the same price for them if I just say that there are a lot fo them? Is it really worth selling them, or should I just throw them out?

Should give you an idea of what the cards are worth.

It depends on the collector. I only tried to sell mine once, and they weren't interested on buying unless I had an entire set. Having the entire set increases the value of the cards significantly.

Selling cards based on their play strength isn't going to get you far since there are a gajillion cards out there now... even some of the best early cards, I was surprised to find, are going for under 5 bucks now.

Selling cards based on their play strength means inventorying everything and basically only getting anywhere with your semi/super rares. You might get lucky on an out of print common that some collector is looking for, but they are common, so I don't think so.
