Since yesterday I haven't been able to play any videos while on the Internet. Whenever I start one, even a Youtube video, the browser comes up with the "x is not responding" message. I had recently downloaded an add-on for Firefox that can save FLVs, so I thought that maybe that had caused the problem. However, I just tried watching a video with Internet Explorer and it still froze up.
Does anyone know why I would be having this problem? This is a new laptop that I got less than a week ago and had been working fine until now.

Are you using Internet Explorer 8? Try putting it in Compatibility Mode (the button next to the address bar)
